Read What Ex-Minister, Abba Moro Told Deputy Governor Because Of Senator Mark

The former Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has clashed with Benue State Deputy Governor Mr. Benson Abounu over Senator David Mark’s re-election into the green chambers, Daily Post reports.
Moro, who is the Director General of Mark campaign Organisation on Sunday, January 10, while reacting to the attack on him by Abounu over the Benue South rerun election between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), told Abounu to short up and think of how to promote and protect the interest of his people instead of working at cross purpose with them.
The former minister said Abounu had no reason to ask Senator Mark to withdraw from the contest.

Moro said: “Abounu knows the interest of our people. He was around when political stakeholders in Benue South overwhelmingly endorsed Senator Mark to contest the election in September 2014. Abounu neither protested nor challenged the decision.
“If not for some funny circumstances that propelled Daniel Onjeh to pick APC Senatorial form to fulfill all righteousness, who is Onjeh to stand election against Senator Mark?
“Abounu in his heart of hearts knows that there was really no contest between Senator Mark and Onjeh in the first instance. But Whatever the circumstances that led to the nullification of the election by the Appeal Tribunal over the signature of the returning officer, it is instructive to people who forget their yesterday for a port of porridge today to remember that a day of reckoning will always come.
“I dare say that only a mad man works against his people. Whatever and wherever the interest of the people is, any responsible leader must respect such. This quest for immediate gain is not sustainable.
“However, Let me honestly thank Abounu for at least admitting that Mark attracted some good projects some at various stages of completion to Benue South including appointments into boards and parastatals of Federal government agencies. At least the narrative is now changing from he has not done anything to some projects yet to be completed.”
Meanwhile, a document has revealed that Abba Moro, a former minister of interior may have short-changed the federal government of Nigeria in an e-Pass biometric project with the help of a private firm, Continental Transfer Technique Limited and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
