Our Former President, the Baba Himself, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday declared that he
will continue to remember the memories of his late wife, Stella,
stressing that the former First Lady meant a lot to him.
Obasanjo
stated this at the 10th memorial service for the former first lady at
the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King, within the premises of Olusegun
Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
He
stressed that he “won’t say much about her today because I have already
written much about my late wife in the book, ‘My Watch’ and part of it
says, she will be dearly missed by me, my family and the Abebe family.”
Stella’s younger brother, John Abebe, who spoke on behalf of the Abebe family, said their sister and daughter would be missed.
The
officiating pastor, Yussuf Obaje, in a sermon titled: ‘Keep her memory
alive’, described Stella as an epitome of womanhood and urged her family
members to continue to keep her legacy alive.
