Can death be funny? This family certainly appear to think so.
At
first glance, there's nothing particularly unusual about this family
photograph - it features relatives, some middle aged and some elderly,
all laughing for the camera.
But they're not flashing the fake smiles we're used to seeing in staged portraits.Their merriment appears to be natural and hearty. So what's so funny?
Well, on closer inspection, you'll notice the elderly man at the
front of the group is holding a card which, with an element of
morbidity, states: "Our last family photo."
Given some of their
ages and the assumption that, like many families, they don't all manage
to get together as much as they'd like, they may be right. The picture was shared on Reddit by user ohbear64 on Monday, with the description: "My dad and his morbid sense of humor make their way to the family reunion."
Taken in Oregon, US, the image has since gone viral , amassing 2.8 million views and many people seem to share the family's sense of humour.
